(Harriet) Lynn Knight-Montaño passed away peacefully on the morning of June 22, 2024, in Crestview, Fla., at the age of 83. Born May 3, 1941, in Frankton, Ind., she was one of nine children to Helen (Soots) and Woodrow Knight.
In her early 30’s Lynn moved to Colorado and on Jan. 14, 1988, she wed (Alex) Manuel Montaño. After Manuels passing in 2009, Lynn remained in Colorado until 2020 when she moved to be near family in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.
She enjoyed collecting antiques, loved her pets and was an amazing family historian.
Lynn was preceded in death by her husband Manuel of Colo.; mother, Helen Albrecht of NY; father, Woodrow Knight of Ind., sisters, (Shirley) Arleen of Fla., Vella of Fla., Ginger of Ind., (Margaret) Peggy of Ky., Donna of NY; brothers, (Lawrence) Larry of Ind., (Theodore) Teddy of Fla., many dear family members and friends.
Lynn is survived by her sibling (Charles) Charlie Albrecht of NY; stepdaughters, Kimberlee and Michelle of Colo., Taileigh of N.M., TJ of Ga.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly.
A Celebration for Lynn and interment will be held on a later date near DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Those wishing to attend are asked to contact her family.
