GUNNISON COUNTY— The Rio Grande County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Gunnison County Coroner on the evening, April 27. The coroner advised that they believed they had located Dale Wiescamp with the Nissan vehicle he was known to be driving when he was reported missing on April 17.
Wiescamp was found deceased a distance from the vehicle that appears to have been stuck.
The coroner advised that there was no indication of foul play involved but that an autopsy was being scheduled to determine cause of death.
The Rio Grande County Sheriff would like to thank friends, family, pilots and all who helped look for Wiescamp to bring this to a conclusion.
