DEL NORTE — The Rio Grande National Forest’s Divide Ranger District announced Wednesday, May 19, that two roads will remain temporarily closed due to damage from wet spring conditions. Road crews will begin repairing these roads within the next several weeks.

The two roads affected are:

  • Rock Creek Road No. 28 south of Monte Vista in Rio Grande County
  • Pass Creek Road No. 390 west of South Fork in Mineral County

As a result of these road closures, the Tucker Ponds, Rock Creek and Comstock campgrounds will remain closed until the road repairs are complete.

For current road conditions, see the Divide Ranger District Road Conditions page or contact the Divide Ranger District at 719-657-3321.
