DEL NORTE— The High Valley Community Center (HVCC) is gearing up for another community dinner that will include recognizing national afterschool programs through an event called Lights on Afterschool. The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 at center. The initiative is a way for the community to show their appreciation for afterschool programs like HVCC.
Afterschool programs help keep students out of trouble and offer them alternatives to bad behavior in communities nationwide.
