DEL NORTE— Hours before the Del Norte Parade of Lights and fireworks on Dec. 7, children from the High Valley Community Center decorated gingerbread houses with residents at the River Valley Inn Nursing Home.
Del Norte High School band teacher Clay Roesle played guitar and led Christmas caroling while residents and HVCC kids formed sweet bonds to make structurally sound gingerbread houses. Throughout the year, HVCC children visit River Valley Inn to decorate pottery and share time together.
