DEL NORTE — The Dirt Drags in Monte Vista attracted some good Samaritans from the south. Nick Warinner, his sons Ethan, Devin and friend Richard Lopez from Phoenix, Ariz. stopped off in Del Norte to assist a local volunteer in sprucing up the town.

Last year on their way to the Dirt Drags, they stopped off at the Three Barrel Brewery for lunch and noticed a friend taking care of flowers on the street and promised that when they returned this year, they would dedicate a day to help beautify Del Norte.
