WINDSOR, Colo.—Gladys Elaine Myers went to be with the Lord on Oct. 8, 2017, at Windsor, Colo.
She was born Sept. 12, 1916, during the “Great War” to Henry and Cora Tyler in Siloam, Ark.
She was the eldest of six children. She met and married Howard L. Myers while a teenager in Oklahoma City, Okla. They were married Oct. 1, 1934. They moved to Colorado in 1953.
During their life together they had three children, Herbert L (Bernadette) Myers of Del Norte, Barbara L. (Ted) Slade both deceased and Gary H. (Linda) Myers of Greeley, Colo.
Gladys was preceded in death by husband Howard and daughter Barbara, all her siblings except for a sister Betty Calvert from Henrietta, Okla.
She is survived by her sons, Herbert and Gary, as well as seven grandchildren, 12 great children and five great great grandchildren and sixth on the way.
Viewing will be Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Strohmayer’s Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at Strohmayer’s Funeral Home at 205 South Broadway, Monte Vista, on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that a donation be made in Gladys honor to the American Cancer Society.
